Why is the rear view image mirrored on the dash cam?
Please choose "Mirror" in the option of "Rear Camera's Preview" in the "Camera Setting". If the rear camera is installed upside down, please select "Flip and Mirror."
Can I use the rear camera without connecting the red reversing wire?
Yes, you can. However, the camera won't automatically switch to the rear view during reversing, and the reversing guide lines won't be available for parking assistance.
The red reversing wire is not long enough.
You can find another piece of wire, strip the outer insulation, and twist the inner wires together with the red reversing line to extend the length. Finally, wrap the connection with insulating electrical tape to ensure proper insulation.
